Custom Carbon Fiber Air Intake Tube

Carbon fiber air intake systems are a popular way to boost performance while adding a high-end look to your engine bay. To get the best results, you'll want to focus on thermal efficiency, airflow volume, and maintenance requirements.

Customizing your engine with a carbon fiber air intake tube is an effective way to improve performance by enhancing heat management and increasing airflow velocity. Because carbon fiber is a natural heat insulator, it helps keep intake air cooler compared to standard aluminum or plastic tubes, resulting in a denser oxygen charge for the engine.

Xinbo Composites Carbon Fiber Air Intake features a high-volume, bridge-free interior design that minimizes turbulence. It is specifically engineered to maximize airflow into the engine with less restriction than factory setups.

Carbon Fiber Air Intake Tube Features

100% carbon fiber construction for maximum thermal insulation and weight savings.

Designed to provide a direct bolt-on fit, replacing factory ducting to enhance throttle response and engine sound.

Large-diameter tubing that maintains consistent airflow even under high-load conditions.

Streamlined carbon fiber tube, significantly reducing intake air temperatures.

High-gloss finish that provides a custom show-car look while providing functional cooling.

Carbon Fiber Air Intake Tube Manufacturing Process

The compression molding is a high-precision manufacturing method used to create carbon fiber intake tubes with consistent wall thickness and a smooth internal surface. Unlike simpler "hand-lay" methods, mold pressing uses two matching halves of a mold to squeeze the material into its final shape.

1 Carbon Fiber Prepreg Preparation: Cut carbon fiber prepregs with cutting molds for specific shapes.

2 Loading the Mold: The plies are layered into a mold. For hollow intake tubes, an inflatable bladder is placed inside to provide internal pressure.

3 Compression: The two halves of the mold are bolted together or placed in a hydraulic press. This ensures the exterior of the tube perfectly matches the desired dimensions for engine bay fitment.

4 Thermal Curing: The mold is heated. This liquefies the resin so it flows into every fiber, then hardens it into a rigid, heat-resistant structure.
5 De-molding & Finishing: The part is removed, the internal bladder is extracted, and the tube is trimmed of any "flash" (excess material) before coating.

6 Additional Services: We also supply optional services, eg, trimming, CNC machining, coating, bonding & assembling metal or plastic parts, and Logo printing.

7. Inspection and Quality Control: The final step involves thoroughly inspecting the composite part to ensure it meets design and quality specifications.

8. Package and shipment: We package carbon fiber intake tubes with bubble bags and strong cartons. The items are shipped by express or air, depending on order quantities.
