1. Mold selection: custom-made steel outer molds and core molds according to the shape of the heterogeneous tube in the design drawings;
2. Mold pretreatment: wipe off the dust and impurities inside the mold, cover a layer of plastic film on the surface of the core mold, and preheat the outer mold, and then evenly coat the release agent;
3. Laying: Calculate the number of layers according to the thickness of the heterogeneous pipe, and determine the angle of the layer according to the performance requirements. Lay the carbon fiber prepreg on the core mold. Each layer needs to be wound tightly at a right angle. It is also necessary to use tools for compaction, and then use a press to compact the entire prepreg without bubbles and stratification;
4. Detailed treatment: Special treatments are required for the connecting parts, such as right angles and reduced diameter parts, which are likely to leave gaps for the filling of the carbon fiber prepreg, resulting in failure to meet the design standards after molding;
5. Sealing: Take out the inner core and put the air bag into the carbon fiber heterogeneous tube. One end of the air bag is sealed, and the other end of the air bag is put on an air nozzle and sealed with carbon fiber prepreg. The carbon fiber opposite to the sealed end of the air bag One end of the rectangular tube is sealed with carbon fiber prepreg. After sealing, use a pressure of 1.5-2 kg to check whether the seal is in good condition and not leaking;
6. Forming: Put the sealed carbon fiber prepreg and the outer mold into the hot pressing equipment, and use high temperature and pressure to promote the forming of the pipe;
7. Processing: After demolding, the carbon fiber shaped pipe needs to be polished and painted to smooth the surface to be consistent with the shape in the design drawing.
The production of carbon fiber special-shaped parts is more difficult than square and round pipes. The production of molds takes a long time and money. In addition, the corner processing requires rich experience, otherwise the produced special-shaped pipes cannot meet expectations.
