Xinbo Composites manufactures custom carbon fiber sheets and plates for many applications. Carbon fiber sheets and plates are widely used now due to their following advantages
- High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Stronger than steel but significantly lighter.
- High Stiffness (Modulus of Elasticity): Resists bending and deformation under load.
- Low Thermal Expansion: Dimensionally stable across a wide temperature range.
- Corrosion Resistance: Does not rust or degrade from chemical exposure like metals.
- X-Ray Transparency: Invisible on X-rays, making them useful in medical settings.
- Fatigue Resistance: Excellent performance under repeated loading cycles.
Carbon Fiber Sheets and Plates Manufacturing
Our high-quality carbon fiber sheets and plates are manufactured using a laminating process, which ensures no defects in the layer. They are made with 100% carbon fiber using high-grade Toray carbon fiber prepregs. Our technology ensures stiffness improved by approximately 30% compared to manually produced carbon fibre sheets. We manufacture carbon fiber sheets and plates with perfect glossy and matte surfaces. We also manufacture custom carbon fiber panels to fit your specifications, including custom dimensions, custom thickness and CNC-machined carbon fiber sheets and plates.
Custom Carbon Fiber Sheets and Plates
We manufacture and supply carbon fiber sheets and plates in various sizes ( up to 1.2m x 2m and 50mm thickness) and surfaces and also provide CNC machining and painting services. All required operations are delivered with a high precision 4-axis CNC machine that offers a working field of 2x3m. We also provide machining services at your desired thickness (eg., holes, slots for countersunk screws) and threading of finished details.
Carbon Fiber Sheets and Plates Applications
1. Drones and UAVs
Main Frame Plates (Top & Bottom): These are the primary "chassis" of the drone. They house the flight controller, power distribution board (PDB), and other electronics. They are typically cut from thin (1-3mm) carbon fiber sheets.
Arms: The arms hold the motors and propellers. They can be:
Integrated: Cut from the same plate as the main frame (a "true-X" or "stretch-X" design).
Separate: Individual arms that bolt onto the main frame plates. These are often thicker plates or even carbon fiber tubes for maximum stiffness.
Component Mounting Plates: Smaller plates used for mounting specific components like:
Camera Tilt Mechanism: A sturdy plate to hold the FPV (First Person View) camera.
Action Camera Mounts: Plates designed to isolate a GoPro or other camera from vibrations.
GPS/Compass Modules: To keep them away from electromagnetic interference.
2. Automotive & Racing
Structural Components: Monocoque chassis (in Formula 1 and hypercars), crash structures, and reinforced pillars for high rigidity and safety.
Interior Trim: Dashboards, center consoles, and paddle shifters for a high-performance aesthetic and weight savings.
Aftermarket Performance: Replacement parts like splitters, spoilers, and flat underbody panels.
3. Industrial & Manufacturing
Robotics & Automation: Robot arms and end-effectors. The high stiffness and low weight allow for faster, more precise movements and reduced motor load.
Machine Framing & Gantries: For CNC machines and 3D printers, where vibration damping and dimensional stability are crucial for precision.
Process Equipment: Plates and sheets used in fixtures, templates, and as a corrosion-resistant material in chemical processing.
4. Medical & Healthcare
X-Ray and CT Scan Tabletops: Patient tables and pallets are transparent to X-rays, reducing image interference and radiation dosage required.
Orthotics and Prosthetics: Lightweight, strong plates are used in prosthetic limbs and orthopedic braces, improving patient comfort and mobility.
5. Consumer Goods
Photography & Optics: camera components that are rigid yet easy to carry.
Electronics: laptop, mobile phone shells
